Behind Veil

Raylene A. Abbott is an artist her medium being Chinese Ink on Xuan Paper, also known also rice paper. Many of her paintings have been mounted on traditional silk scrolls in Shanghai, China by master scroll makers. When the painting returns to her she meditates on the painting and becomes inspired to write a poetical Wisdom Story. Once she has the teaching of the painting she set the poetry to movement. Her art is then transforms into story telling and dance performance. Raylene’s art exhibits includes Ikebana, Flowering Tea Ceremony and Poetical Dance Performance. Raylene has combined Traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony with her knowledge of Sacred Flora. Flowering Tea Ceremony is an expression of Raylene’s knowledge of both herbal and flower medicine . Raylene either grows or hand picks the wild-flowers in the High Mountains which then is used in the tea ceremony. Raylene’s Art is a fusion of both the East and the West and the very best Mother Nature can offer.

I long for the land of the Bodhisattvas. Where Silence echos through my vacant heart. Where sutras fall from the tongues of the Enlightened Ones. Where groves of bamboo sway in the winds of change without coming uprooted. I long for the land of the Enlightened Ones.
